How to set your Omega watch
Omega's operating instructions are arranged by calibre, not by model name, and the calibre decides which steps apply.
The Moonwatch calibres 321, 1861 and 3861 share one section of the manual: crown position 1 winds the watch and position 2 sets the time. Only the 3861 stops the seconds hand at position 2; Omega notes that the 321 and 1861 have no stop-seconds, so they cannot be set to the exact second.
On the Speedmaster Moonphase with calibre 9904 or 9914, turning the crown forwards at position 2 moves the moon and turning it backwards moves the date; the time is set at position 3.
On every Speedmaster chronograph, reset the hands only when the chronograph is stopped.
Find your calibre
The calibre is not on the dial. Look up your reference below: Omega lists the calibre for each reference on its product pages and in the reference's user manual (for 310.30.42.50.01.001, "Movement: 3861").
